Hanging with the Mafia!
... just people getting to where they need to be…very interesting! Finally we arrived at the hotel and we parked our bikes unloaded our stuff and headed to a nearby restaurant for our last Italian pizza (at least for a short while anyway) Bellies full we ran back to the hotel to get out of the rain and checked the weather forecast for tomorrow. It all looked good so it was full steam ahead for our last day on the bikes tomorrow 500km to go and our adventure will be over! Sad stuff ...
Another Day, Another Sicily
From a flat sea into Palermo's working harbor, we arrived after a slow sail from Catania. This morning, so as to not disturb Gloria’s sleep while still accommodating my preference for an early arising, I did not arrange for room service. Instead, I grabbed the computer and crept out to Deck 9’s Panorama Lounge for my morning coffee. I uploaded the Catania blog and downloaded the Kansas City Star for my slow morning experience.

Agrigento Archaeological Museum to Terre di Himere
The Agrigento Archaeological Museum is well worth a couple of hours of any visitor's time. Today it's free for a Sicilian festival date (though when we bought our combined ticket yesterday, no-one told us!). The Greek vase collection is particularly impressive, illustrated with images of gods, satyrs, soldiers and athletes.
