... Before leaving Victoria, we went down by Beacon Hill Park and really enjoyed it. There was a great blue heron, peacocks and beautiful ponds, water fountains and peaceful walkways.
The drive to Ucluelet was beautiful. There were plenty of places to pull over and enjoy the views.

Rescued!
... the procedures they followed during he whole process I felt so good to know these personnel are available,willing and able to help in times like this. Our scenario was minor compared to some rescues they perform but knowing that they would happily jump into the Pacific from 30' above the water if that is what the situation called for puts you in awe of thief bravery and commitment.

... thing ever, she told me that in Germany instead of a pub crawl people do beer hikes which basically means hiking from one brewery to the next drinking beer the whole way. We grabbed a bus to Langford and met this extremely strange kid who told us he would point us in the right direction for the park itself, so we follow him. I haven't been able to independently verify this claim.
