... off some fireworks and we were truly in the American spirit of 4th of July. Big thank you to Ryan & Kiley for having us stay with you!! A returned bed always is there for you in Perth. Next stop; Chicago and deep dish pizza Sleep walking diaries of Pete: Nil to report (best behaviour when amongst friends) I still miss Kara but my bestie Ame took her out this week and sent us lots of pics and videos (thank you Ame!!!) ... about 500 acres set aside as a bison and elk preserve. There were 60 bison and 47 elk. There was a drive through trail that we took and spotted one elk and several small groups of bison. Got a photo of the elk but bison were too far away.

After spending a couple of hours there we finished our trip to the KOA in Adel IA. In the office we found a brochure for the covered bridges of Madison County that were featured in the movie by the same name. Though ...

... I stand still and not walk, she will go there. If I walk her, she's so busy smelling other creatures scents, that she dilly dallies and doesn't go. 3am: Stopped for the night at a rest area.Cars, tractor trailers, and campers here. Got to 1170mi. ... see Izzie. She has changed so much in the last month. At dinner, Izzie wanted Grandpa to walk her around the restaurant. She pretty much did her own walking - I held on to one hand. And her smile continues to light up our life's.

Tomorrow we celebrate her first birthday.

... Tomorrow, they will finish up the work and we will head to Iowa City. We should be in time for Izzie's birthday on the 24th.
