... phone call. Breakfast much later and will go out with an old friend of hers later tonight. Rain off and on again. Stayed home and I, again, tried to help her with the computer. Seems Bill, a great nieces husband, really screwed it up and lost ALL her emails and all her photos and anything she had on the computer before!! ... today and read and tried, unsuccessfully, to nap! Early evening brought welcome overcast skies! Still warm, but a bit of a reprieve. Around 10 pm someone outside either shoot a gun or large firecracker, very close to our house---and Elly came in like a shot, looking scared and ran to my lap! 2 more shots and it was over, whatever it was. For my supper I fixed a tortilla with 3 cheeses, chopped tomato, chopped ham and salsa. Good!

... boy was a little over-priced and disappointing but the chowder shined brightly with huge chunks of meat, a little cheese and just the right mix of garlic. After eating outside on a bench overlooking the boats, we returned to Nye beach to hit up the local bakery for some bread and the wine shop to complete our contribution to this evening's dinner.

... another complication- I know many people who start their child traveling young so that they will be a good traveler, but as they grow into little people, their needs may not be for travel in the same way as their parents. So we adapt and perhaps our perspective on travel changes a bit.
