... While we will miss our Brisbane friends, we do anticipate meeting new and interesting friends on the road. In fact, high on our list of things to accomplish on this journey, is making contact with many people and listening to their stories.

... Like the scene in the Simpson's when they take a ton of sweets from the Candy Fair and they just have to keep going well after eating had stopped being enjoyable. We were all like this for three days. I had one meal consisting of two bowls of soup (with bread rolls, of course), Ham and Cheese pasta bake, carrots, green beans, peas, baked potatoes, gravy and sweetcorn. ... to the campsite to clean up and have some lunch before hitting the road again. The morning sunshine had passed and it was overcast by the time we arrived in Byron Bay, we have heard all these great stories of how great Byron is but we were left a little under-whelmed. It was ok, just a beach town with a few shops and bars. We did go up to the lighthouse which had great 360 degree view but decided we would head north in search of nicer climates.

Es war ein Spektakel, denn zum einzigartigen Anblick von lilafarbenen Wolken mit feuerroten Rändern kamen noch springenden Delphine - herrlich kitschig. Had to rush out for dinner as Port (as the book says it's called) is small enough which means things close early, after being ignored at a **** looking Italian we found Spicy Yahmor Thai (there was no Indian in town) and it hit the spot. As we left the closing restaurant we encountered 8 Irish middle aged farmers looking for a feed, at 9:40pm on Easter Sunday they'll have been lucky. Would love to know what brought them to Port Mac. in the ******* rain. Back at the B&B we had ...

... it though, because the Great Barrier Reef is definitely one of wonders of the world for a reason. I thought I wouldn't go diving because I was too scared, but there was a big part of me that really wanted to, so I decided to go for it, and it turned out to be one of the most amazing things I've ever done. It was strange getting used to breathing through the equipment, and it was definitely a bit scary being so dependent on the oxygen ...

... auch auf der Heckscheibe meines Autos habe. Zum Dinner sind wir nach Byron reingefahren und haben bei Hog's Breath gegessen. Ein Steakhouse, yammi! Mit ein paar Bier haben wir uns dann auf den Camping Platz verzogen und den Abend ausklingen lassen. Gegen 9 wurde das Zelt zum Ofen und wir mussten flüchten.
