... we headed to Brussels for the rest of the day. Now on our own, we explored Brussels on foot. It wasn't just the architecture and weather which informed an overall negative image of Brussels, the tram ride to the station saw me share a seat with a smelly heroin addict (not Shelley) and the lift at the bus station may have been the most urine soaked I have ever used. None of this went unnoticed by my traevl companion and it took quite a few chupa chup lolly bribes to persuade her to board the 11pm Eurolines bound for Berlin...
