The view from the 20th floor of our Hilton rooms offered a splendid view of Québec at night, and the next morning we discovered, how close we were to the St. Lawrence river, which flows past the city into the Atlantic ocean.
On Sunday, October 19th, we went on a driving tour of downtown Québec, it almost seemed as if we were in Paris.

... the sandy bottom for most of the race. It was also very shallow even 25 yards off shore. We had a great swim day with little wave action. I also decided to take off my wetsuit in the water which also affected my swim time. I have never used the wetsuit strippers. I don't like to get all sandy laying on the ground while they pull it off. Transition was smooth and the bike was great. Flat, some rollers and the roads were not as bad as people had said. Yum Yum...went back to Kelvin's uncles and then out for food and drinks in the evening, lots of fun, but got back late and was exhausted.

... light, circled by other dancing fools, I wiggled my shoe off, jiggled it around in mid-air before my face, to the shock of a nice shiny silver key falling out and bouncing around the linoleum floor.
The strobe light made everything so much more intense. My housemates knew what had happened; nobody else did, so the surprise must've seemed somewhat superfluous. But either way, I thought it was a pretty stupendous roundabout ...
