Our travels have taken Kathy back to her childhood home. We ventured up into Michigan to visit Spring Lake. Our first stop was St. Mary's Church. We found out they tore down the original church. Where the church once stood sits a playground. The new church which stands on the other side of the old rectory, is modern and big. The course was beautiful we had a great view of the lake and ran in some really nice neighborhoods. All along the run the community was out cheering and had brought out hoses from their homes for us to run through. I loved those hoses! It was so hot that I ran through every one of them. We are up! We were all up at 6:30 am. We didn't have to worry about sleeping in. Breakfast in the hotel. Coffee at the Holiday Inn was awful. So after we packed up the bikes in the drizzle we left around 8:30 and found a Starbucks around the corner.
