... Being a Sunday we drove into the city and found a parking spot near to the river which has a walk on both sides. There are also sculptures along the walk, including the most photographghed spot in Milwaukee which is a statue of the Fonz. We watched the small pleasure boats going through the raised bridges and had a beer and mojito at a micro brewery.

Off to find a camp spot and ended up at the State fairgrounds. Today was the last day of a huge music festival called Summerset.

... at 7:35am and I started at 7:38. I took my own advice of finding a fast swimmer and rising her feet. The idea is to draft and to let her do all the spotting and to blaze a trail through the swimmers. It worked till for awhile but I ended up passing her about half way her pace was too slow. Looking back I should have dropped her earlier. The water was a perfect 68 degrees so my sleeveless wetsuit was a great choice. I also could not believe how clear the water is. I ...

... new drink called "Sparks". It's a "malt beverage" (essentially beer) with extra flavourings - Ice Tea, Lemonade or Blackberry. Their promotion was "Sparks is better than everything" and you could go up and drink something gross, followed by a Sparks, and say which is better. Sparks always came off on top, obviously... I had a free sample, it was terrible! (sorry Jo - thought they might be on to something!)

Been having such a fabulous time!!! Spent the first few days in Kelvin's home town Racine, meeting lots of Kelvin's family who have been so lovely to me! Great fun! Found a great vintage clothing shop, which is the cheapest!!! Damn the back pack, I wanted to buy everything!
