... we stopped at two different homesites. The first being the Wampanoag Homesite. The homesite was a re-creation of Habbamock, a Pokonoket man who lived in Patuxet/Plymouth Colony in the 1620s. Patuxet means, "place of the little water falls." We were fortunate enough later in our day to take a tour of Plymouth City with a Native American Historian who took us to the location that the Native Americans named the land after. Due to suggestions by the locals last night, we drove up to Provincetown today. On the way stopped off at the beach for awhile at some sand dunes. Freezing for a swim, but kids had fun with the sand hills. Now Provincetown. Quite quirky and very busy. And this weekend happened to be some kind of Lesbian mardi gra weekend. We met at the Wequasset Resort for breakfast with everyone wearing the special t-shirts that Lia and Kelsey had made for us. After breakfast, we headed to the playground, where we found someone to take a family photo. Kelsey is a wonderful photographer and will edit and improve the photos on her camera, but for now, all I have is a photo from my cell phone.
