... the road to play Bingo while Greg and Mel watched the cricket highlights. We had a great night socialising with the locals (Pam and Sue who taught us how to play Bingo!) and managed to win a couple of prizes. ... the most amazing type of amphitheatre built on a cliff edge which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. It is spectacular! We saw the comedy play 'A Chorus of Disapproval'. We had seats in the upper terrace and we all loved every minute! The theatre seats 800 people and was the brainchild of a lady called Rowena Cade and her story is worth googling!! ... medieval font. At Gorran Haven is a 15th-century chapel of St Just, restored in the 1860s.' Wikipedia While the church is impressive the surrounding graveyard is not. We hadn't realised we needed to bring machetes to cut the grass to enable us to get to the old and weathering headstones. It was slow going, as the ground was uneven and overgrown. I think the parish council had stopped tending the older graves a long time ago. At least the newer ones ...

Our morning in Cherbourg was quite busy with a few garden centres to explore, a motorhome dealers to look for a new fridge.
However we did take some time out to call to Normandie Wine Warehouse which is very convenient near the town centre. The owner speaks fluent English and understands your requirements and soon recommend as he says....suitable for drinking!
