Woke up promptly at 7:30am and went straight to our hotel free continental breakfast. We arrived and it the cereal options were Toastie-o's or Frosties, with toast and chocolate donuts… very interesting and not so healthy. So we make do, head back to the room, shower and check out.

We have about a 4.5hours drive to Chicago, and we stopped in at McDonalds for a large black coffee, otherwise we slammed the drive out and had lunch when we ...

... worlds largest Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton. The T-Rex's name is Sue. It's the largest museum I think I've ever been in. There was so much to see and there was no way we could have fit it all in as we had a comedy show to get ready for! Ordinarily in this situation back home he would have been chucked off or made to pay for today's ticket but in this scenario they said, "just call Amtrak now and get them to change your ticket date" amazing, simple too.

The trains are also surprisingly bumpier than expected as well, we tried to play cards at one point using the fold down tables ...

This morning we had class at 9, but we were done going over material at around 10:15. After class I went back to the dorm and finished packing and got stuff put away in my room. We boarded the bus at 12:30 and then took off from MU to Chicago O'Hare Airport around 12:57. It seems like we have been on this bus ride forever, but it has only been like 30 minutes. Now I'm trying to pass time by writing this travel blog. We got ...

Home of the Sunday night takeaway pizza

A travel blog entry by d.thorpe on May 19, 2014

... When we finally got shakely to the hotel, we dumped the car in the nearest and most expensive parking just to save me driving anymore, tried to get Chicago style deep pan pizza, only to find that everywhere was shut and had to get a takeaway pizza that was no different or better than any one you might get from your local takeaway on a Saturday night after a heavy session on the drink. So, we called it a night relatively early, somewhat missing out ...
