... frontier of exploration in our world got me excited. For perspective, more people have been to the moon than into a lot of caves. If you're a regular cave diver, you'll likely discover somewhere no one else has ever been, imagine that! The trouble is, cave diving is considered a form of technical diving. Almost all the diving everyone does, including the diving I've done thus far is considered recreational diving. You're going shallow in a undangerous environment. ...

After a few hours of sunning ourselves and swimming we decided to take a walk along the beach into Playa del Carmen so the boys could replenish their supply of ciggarettes (Jeff has been a bad influence and has gotten Marshall smoking again!) The walk was very nice and it wasnt too far. 5th ave was packed, a ferry or cuise ship had just docked and so there were ...

... which sparked us up a bit. Upon arrival on Isla Holbox we were greeted by a swarm of mosquitoes, potentially even more than Utila which was hard to believe and definitely a shock after being mosquito-free for so long. Holbox was a sleepy island, it's main attraction being the whale shark tours. We chose Holbox over the alternative of Isla Mujeres as we didn't want to be surrounded by flash hotels and tourists before we had to - turns ...
