... people where whipping their foreheads and fanning themselves more and he handed out more invisible glasses of tequila that the participants would knock back. Then he told them the temperature was dropping and it was getting colder. People were rubbing their arms and snuggling up to the person next to them. The show continued on like this. It was quite amusing.
After the show we wandered around a bit more then headed back to our room to read, relax and blog.
We were headed for Akumal with Aude today, a short drive south from Playa, to dive and snorkel with turtles. Apparently the name of the place is derived from the Mayan words - Aku 'turtle' and Mal ' the place of'. The foreshore is a feeding ground for the turtles and the nearby reef is used as a resting station after feeding - we were guaranteed to see a turtle.

We caught the ferry from Isla Mujeres yesterday to Puerto Juarez, then a taxi to Cancun town and then a bus to Playa Del Carmen. There are two different buses to take, the first class ADO bus which costs about M$60 and the colectivos (mini buses) which are about half the price.
