Hello Friends!!!
I'm torn between it being a relief and a disappointment that I now speak English freely among all the other English-speaking folks. (I'm on the cruise.) While there are over 40 countries represented by visitors, America absolutely took the cake by almost triple that of any other country. I also don't know whether I'm proud of that fact or embarrassed by it. You might say that I'm going through a patriotic self-crisis.
The cruise has been fan ...
... in albanian and she got up and went with him. Nuts! Also this man was asleep on a chair near us and he kept hacking up chest stuff and spitting it on the floor. We could have upgraded to a cabin but it would have cost an extra 50 euros so we had to rough it out. And rough is exactly how the see got worse and worse till in the end at like 7am the man came around and gave everyone sick bags we had one between me Katy and Ian and was wondering who was going to use it first ...

Up early again to get the first bus of the day to Ionnia then on to Igoumenitsa then a ferry over to Corfu everything went according to plan and we made connections without to much waiting around when we got to the ferry port the ferry was leaving in 10 mins so that was a bonus. Its really hot still around 26 degrees most days so enjoying the warm weather and the Greek lifestyle. Apart from being bit ever five minutes ...
Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece traceybelleJust a quick note. Spent a fabulous day on Corfu. This is what you think of when you think of Greece. We rented motor bikes and crusied the island. I will update more when we get back to Rome on Tuesday.
Love to all,
Davo and Janet
Still grey in a.m. Decide to move on: thinking of visiting Corfu, if weather good. En route to ferry port, call in on Dodoni - oldest site of religious worship in Greece. Miraculously, another Euro-free day!Oracle pre-dates Delphi; devoted to both Gaiaa & Zeus. Impressive C3rd BC amphitheatre - capacity of 17,000 - & whole setting very dramatic. Remote, though: you ...
Igoumenitsa, Epirus, Greece marcdolav... but mostly just having a great time bouncing over the waves. We kept watching the rental place for the waving white towel to let us know our time was up but we never saw them signal us so on we continued. 45 minutes later we thought we better head in as it was quite obvious our time was more then up. We drove in and soon discovered we were looking at ...

Corfu, Greece tinsels_travels... us to a squashy halt.
Delighted that there weren't many people at this beach, presumably because of a current lack of amenities, we waded into the still waters while inquisitive fish swam around our knees. The water was deliciously cool after a dusty fly-blown day and we floated about in the shallows, relaxation seeping into our bodies.
We rode home along the coastal road, skirting the base of Mount Pantokratora, passing through holiday villages set up ...
