We are having so much fun. I don't think my blog has really covered off how much fun can be had when you are travelling with a group of people on a bus. There are two buses, bus A and bus B. We are on bus B and it has come to be known as the party bus. We have lots of different kinds of people on the bus of all different ages, including two kids. ... hot mulled wine.. found a nice hot "white" to keep the chills away..
The temporary ice skating rink is something to see.. adorned with massive led bright white light trees and plenty of skaters showing their prowess or ability to stay upright..
The local restaurants have their fires burning.. literally..inside, whilst outside they too have created a winter wonderland...All so picture perfect..

... we MUST go to Bruge, so we have now decided to go from there to Zeebrugge to Holland round the coast which will be quicker – weather permitting of course!

We cast off at 11am with the help of the harbour master keeping our stern into the pontoon and upstream as we turned and our neighbouring boats were on standby too (we had been moved up very close to each other to make room for extra boats expected for the festival and ...

... their attitude that made us feel totally unwelcome even for the 1 night, so we decided to go back to Kortrijk before we could not get back there either, as there is a festival on this weekend and expecting more boats. It turns out it is a public holiday for Pentecost so Monday is like our Bank Holiday.

We arrived back and managed to get the same spot.

... we visited had many 'Flemish Primitive' paintings from the 14-16th centuries as well as more modern paintings. Artists we saw were Jan van Eyck and Jheronimus Bosch, the later in which I find quite intriguing, because his works are so distinctive.
