    ... population of more than a million, the airport is tiny. We walked straight up to the SAS counter, and were the only customers for probably a dozen available counters. We passed through the single security checkpoint for domestic flights with its friendly but thorough officials. The waiting area featured low-hanging chandeliers made of reindeer antlers.

    The short flight to Stockholm was uneventful, and we got to our hotel within about 45 minutes.

    ... that the timetable said the bus comes once an HOUR and we needed tickets beforehand! Luckily, we only had to wait 25 minutes and the driver did not ask for our tickets.     ... blond, and most men aren't wearing shirts. It's strange but I guess they are proud to just be an attractive people by and large. It seems very nice here and a lot cleaner than some of the other places we've been. The hostel is particularly nice, it's rather large and the kitchen is very useful, enough room to cool everything at once and for other people to still get around. Made some delicious pasta ...

    Some time down the highway we saw a sign that had a picture of a castle (and some words in Swedish) so we decided a detour was in store. We never found the castle (well, not this one), but we did find an amazing rural area with churches, markets, horse stables, and cool funky houses. The houses are mostly bright colors in yellow and red.
