... tournament. Might of had a little break down/ tear in the shower after this. To finish the day we had the opening ceremony. I was still in a pretty pooey mood but I tried to enjoy it. I didn't take any photos (sorry friend) but I will find some on Facebook when I get home for you :) wouldn't call it a very special ceremony- most of it was in Swedish although it was very cool to see a few thousand people pack out the town square for it. Today was one of those days I really needed you ...

This town was recommended to us by the train ticket guy. He was born here and moved to Stockholm at 16. So we decided to make a trip there and enjoy it before heading off to Norway. The town was having festival stuff, one section was foods of the world with tents offering food types from different countries. There was also a color run going on and even some parades and concerts. Got some rain and cool weather but managed just ...

Since the islands are too small for cars, I thought it was funny that the locals drive motorbikes with seats similar to what you see in a stroller and some had crate-like open trunks (pictures attached). I can only imagine how beautiful the islands must be in the summer when the locals are out and everything is open for tourists to enjoy! As most of you know, I LOVE food so I am happy to report ...

Lars and I are now in Sweden...flying first to Copenhagen and staying one night before taking the train to Halmstad to see family. This morning we boarded the train again and are now on our way to Stockholm.

Our trip was planned to take care of some legal business we need to do in Sweden. Originally we planned to do everything in Stockholm on Monday but yesterday we decided to see if we could take care of business at the Skatteverket in Halmstad. What ...

The first thing to do in Gothenburg is to see the islands. Holding onto beautiful baby Jasper as we step out of the car on the ferry the wind and cold hits you bang in the face. But as we drive onto the island, the scenery just increases in sheer beauty. Little and not so little holiday homes scatter the slightly abandoned island. Walking by the sea to a lovely seaside cafe....no doubt bustling in summer season, but ghostly now; I indulge in the most amazing deep filled ...
