... or its formal title, Social Capital and Cultural Diversity. Monday and Tuesday were basically all day long field trips, Wednesday we had off (this is typical), and Thursday morning we left for our class trip to Sweden. I'll break down the week below...

Monday- The theme of my class is immigration and integration of ethnic minorities into Danish and Scandinavian culture. So Monday we went to Trampoline House, which is a safe place for asylum ...

We started the week in Denmark with a fabulous walk out on the white chalk cliffs of Mons Klint, on the east coast overlooking the Baltic Sea. Some of the cliffs are 160m above sea level, and the only way up and down is to climb several hundred steps, great cardio!

      ... I suppose no smell to non-smokers.

So, after getting to central and pounding the pavement re my phone, I then came across a "Cultural Market" so this is what they mean by "Cultural Week". Lots of food and some craft stalls from different countries. And there was an Aussie one - but manned by Brits! They were serving hamburgers and you had a choice - beef, kangaroo, camel! and crocodile! They apparently had an "Aussie" abuse them earlier in the day saying how dare they serve ...

The first thing to do in Gothenburg is to see the islands. Holding onto beautiful baby Jasper as we step out of the car on the ferry the wind and cold hits you bang in the face. But as we drive onto the island, the scenery just increases in sheer beauty. Little and not so little holiday homes scatter the slightly abandoned island. Walking by the sea to a lovely seaside cafe....no doubt bustling in summer season, but ghostly now; I indulge in the most amazing deep filled ...
