    ... nothing to offer. The ex Austro-Hungarian empire is full of little known treasures however.

    Real evidence that we're really in the countryside. A forlorn looking vegetable stand. What happens to all the peppers that are sold? Do they all go into šopska salata or are there dishes that just don't make it onto restaurant menus?

    The match museum... closed. I hope they didn't have an accident.

      My apartment's on the first floor in some strange courtyard. It has a nice homely feel to it.   The main café street earlyish in the morning before it becomes packed with people enjoying a drink and the sun. Beautifully peaceful.  A superb touch.     ... different set menu every day. Dave had been mouthwatering all afternoon at the sights and BBQ smells passing by of real Serbian mega meat dishes.
