There must be some pretty impressive houses over there by the river. Sandy Bay or Bellerive... I'm not sure which.

Wandering over to the edge of the fortress there was a group kicking around a soccer ball footbag style. Actual footbags are much better but I think they're becoming a thing of the past... or only for aficionados.

There's a cute little watch tower. Or ...

A pretty interesting bookcase - Shakespeare in Serbian translation no less, but she is a student of comparative literature.

No, it wasn't me pushing the rakija. It was the blonde's fault. They ...

    A Very Quiet Day

No pics today... in fact not much to report at all after the end to my day yesterday.

I seem to have slept ok. In fact I was feeling pretty much 100% after the technicolour yawn.

I still had my Serbian practice this morning but I did call it a day after a couple of hours wanting to stop while I was ahead. I didn't want to push my luck.

Anyway, I got back to my flat at about midday, sat on the couch, woke up at midnight!

    Went to bed.

Walking through the square, we came across a clown selling the largest cotton candies I've ever seen. Apparently my eyes lit up like a Christmas Tree,...because Kris bought me one. It was scrumptious! Sadly,...after my travel buddy had been so generous,.....I only offered her one bite. I will do better,....I will do ...

... beef, everything. Grappa followed and thankfully we refilled our water bottles. Drinkable tap water is a beautiful thing.

In order to save our livers for the rest of the trip we gave it a break in the evening and we found Indian food. With all the rice if was rather calming on our stomachs. Novi Sad was much more than we expected and we were quite happy that we chose to visit. 7 hour overnight bus to Sarajevo was next on our ...
