    ... of course but Višnja started telling me about when the bridges were bombed. I began to wonder why she was carrying on about the second world war but it turned out to be much more recent.



    Back on land I rather liked the look of this bakery. Unusual for one thing for being open so late.



    I must confess that I didn't actually bother buying anything in there... or any other bakery ...

    ... a takeaway shop for a litre plastic bottle of beer then went to visit a friend. She already had a litre bottle on the go so we knocked off that and ours and eventually headed out again.

    A pretty interesting bookcase - Shakespeare in Serbian translation no less, but she is a student of comparative literature.

    No pics today... in fact not much to report at all after the end to my day yesterday.

    I seem to have slept ok. In fact I was feeling pretty much 100% after the technicolour yawn.

    I still had my Serbian practice this morning but I did call it a day after a couple of hours wanting to stop while I was ahead. I didn't want to push my luck.

    Anyway, I got back to my flat at about midday, sat on the couch, woke up at midnight!

    Went to bed.

    ... was just a regular park,...albeit a pretty one. We watched the people stroll by,....and then began our walk into town.
    Walking through the square, we came across a clown selling the largest cotton candies I've ever seen. Apparently my eyes lit up like a Christmas Tree,...because Kris bought me one. It was scrumptious! Sadly,...after my travel buddy had been so generous,.....I only offered her one bite. I will do better,....I will do ...

    ... Kids were pulling wheelies just behind and in front of us, to startle or impress. We had our lunch here in the shade of a cherry tree.



    Nicely Paved Path into Novi Sad

    The path from here till Novi Sad was paved and beautiful. We shared it with many cyclists and roller bladers. A long strip of newly built luxury homes was flooded. No amount of sand bagging could safe them. Curious why they ...
