... this, I couldn't remember the name of one of the main buildings that we first saw on our tour. Reviewing my photos, as luck would have it, I noticed that the place where the picture is taken shows right on top of the photo. I guess I'd turned on location permission for photos when I left. Aren't I a smart little traveller. Leopoldskroner Weiher is the beautiful setting for part of the filming of the movie. We went back to Hellbrun Palace (but I didn't go to the ...

We find a pleasant ACSI site Wolfgangsee Birkenstrand just past St Gilgen. The next day is glorious sunshine so we take a walk toward Strobl along the edge of the lake. The path takes us through farms and campsites, meadows and woodland. Everyway we look is magnificent scenery, lakes, snow capped mountains and spring flowers. We come across a little cemetery, it's so beautifully tended with ...

... his family. left there & headed to some markets for lunch, yum rolls & the biggest pretzel sugar dounut you've ever seen! One other stop for the day was St Peters church (by now I'd established my raincoat was in fact rubbish & I looked like a drowned rat according to Rach), the church was beautiful inside full of amazing Fresco's on the walls and the ceilings. This was the church that the Sound of Music Vonn ...
