We had planned to spend the first day in Rome visiting Vatican City, until we learnt Wednesday is when the Pope has his weekly audience and the place would be chaotic. ... with the guide talking into it, so there was about 30 in the group. Our guide was a lovely, very knowledgeable older italian lady. Couldn't walk too well, but she did a great job weaving in and out of the crowds. She was shorter than me.
