Breakfast was hanging outside our door in the morning!

Didn't get up very early because traveling makes you tired!

First we went to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, it was quite incredible (covered up the shoulders and the knees).

... to Rome. Our transport took us via several of the good views of things like St Peters. Our hotel is right in the heart of the city, just 3 minutes from Trevi Fountain. We walked around and found the Pantheon in a street not too far away. It has a Basillica built on to it. there are so many churches, every block seems to have one, and they all seem to be ornate and still in use.
Very hot here too.

... look almost unholy. The next image set on the Caravaggio hunt we was the three painting of St Matthew; 'The calling', 'The Inspiration' and 'The Martyrdom'. Each image being wonderful but the central image, 'The Inspiration', being the most interesting. The image that was on display was not the first, it was a redo. Bearing that in mind, one of the places I absolutely had to see today was the Castel Sant'Angelo and the Ponte Sant'Angelo.
