    ... into the cathedral. Only cost 2 euros each and that gave us entry to the Cathedral and the Museum. There were also other options, but this seemed the easiest to start with. While we were waiting in line, a number of female tourists were turned away from the cathedral line because of their inappropriate dress.     ... pinks, rustic reds and pale creams. There are large road tunnels on both sides of the lake, huge gaping holes built into the mountains to allow drivers to wind their way around this big expanse of water.
    WE saw lots of these tiny villages on our way around, we saw large villa's, even a glimpse of where George Clooney is supposed to live. I was surprised that there wasn't more traffic on the water. No speed boats, no kayaks, no water skiers. There was really only a few ...

    ... long and largely incomprehensible story in Italian and broken English about a boat he was on that went to Melbourne. He seemed to like talking to me more because I could knew some Italian and he persisted to talk to me even when the others had moved away, scared by the strangeness of the encounter. Finally I managed to grasp his hand in a solid farewell gesture and assert that we must leave. He hoped to see us again...we hoped not. At least I got to practise some Italian! ...

    ... while we got our bearings. Then took an Open Top Bus Tour with great commentary. Really helps to orientate you, at least to the central city area.
