    251km today 10chf , 15.70chf Left hot como at 10.15 and headed to Switzerland. No motorways today just bendy roads over the Swiss Alps. Arrived at our hotel around 4pm, headed into lauterbrunan for dinner. Hotel alpenblick £118

    ... I'm doing laundry. What is up with that? After laundry we will get a nice dinner somewhere. Tomorrow weplan to hike to some caves inhabited by monks (there are interior waterfalls and its supposed to be neat), a boat ride across Lake Burniese, then hike to another peak and check out the hang gliding station (nope, not doing that on this trip.     ... across the woods from us. This valley us high on the must do base jumps, these two had jumped from above us. Either very brave or just mental! The snow turned to rain as we returned to the camp site, as we entered we passed a camper that must have been here for a long time, the icicles on it were very impressive. In the evening we planned our itinerary for tomorrow, the forecast isn't too good but we have good equipment and we will go whatever the weather as long as the train is ...

    ... onto a tray and just as I was about to lift the tray he stopped me
    and said he would take it for me. Sure enough this kind chap left his shop and
    with tray in hand followed us along the train to our coach and delivered the
    refreshments.Fantastic service to say the least.
    At Meiringen the driver changes ends and we leave the station along the
    lines we have just travelled but soon take the line leading off towards Lucerne

    ... some familiar names on the roster. My accounting friend, Michelle Kane, and her family were on the same trip! I was really excited and texted her to see where she was and went to go meet her. We talked for an hour or so about our trips and the good and the bad. It was great catching up!
