Merida to Cancun

... It takes about 45mins to get to Uxmal. More beautiful ruins. This country is rife with awesome ruins. The decoration (although admittedly a lot has been reconstructed) is impeccable. There are heaps of iguanas hanging out in pairs, warming themselves proudly in the sun. I took more photos of the iguanas than the actual site, I think... We hop back into our van at lunchtime to head to the next site, Kabak, and holy **** it's like stepping into a microwave ...

The second was light coloured, crunchy on the outside and very springy in the middle – think ...

So here comes Kabah, wow! This is one of the best sites in the area and the last site we visited around Saint Elena. It is just big, big, big; it’s on par with Chichen, Mayapan and Uxmal. We spent a lot of time here just exploring the many buildings waiting for the sun to go down, as that is the best time to see ...
