      Early start, Stansted crowded - possibly made worse by the French air traffic controllers strike yesterday.       ... gorgeous stone building about 900 years old. This time it's simplicity was stark but beautiful.

      Back in the car we had a 2 hour drive which was an easy drive on the motor way. We arrived at Girona in Spain but had a little trouble finding the hotel as it wasn't listed on the GPS. Eventually we did and parked the car after driving around the roundabout about 3 times.

      ... of late. Leading up to the community celebrations of Fallas, our school had a Dia de la Familia, then a full week of school competitions and happenings. Sam's team took first in football (soccer). Henry bravely pursued the poetry recitation contest, ending up second out of 140ish kids, the only boy. He also received a lovely honor -- Best Sportsman (athletics, attitude and cooperation) for grade 4. For a kid who had many (many!) ...
