... the city in theaters, plazas and other venues. Although we did not attend a play, we enjoyed the buzzing of the city. It is named after the famed author of Don Quixote.

As you can imagine with a hill top town, parking is difficult so we left our rental off at base of hill at the Hotel de Real Minas. We grabbed a cab, which immediately took us flying through the maze of underground tunnels. They are poorly lit and long. It was scary the way ...

Well, Week 1 of the first session has come and gone! The first day I, along with pretty much everyone else taking my class, had expressed our terror after reading the syllabus for our Carlos Fuentes literature class. ... meal--spaghetti, ham with pineapple (like a Hawaiian pizza, so I'm calling it American), a salad and bread. Well, the orchata and agua de jamaica that I've mentioned before (the drink that's like cranberry juice) kinda threw off the American-ness, as did the dessert, flan. Anyway, I only stayed down there for a little over an hour to eat and chat a bit. It was pretty cool because they hired two guys to come play for about a hour. If ...

... the world go by. This particular hot spot always has something special going on - the perfect location for live music & people watching. We were constantly approached by vendors on the street selling everything from flowers to genuine Mexican rugs/blankets (which I have already bought two of)...this isnt annoying at all really, as it takes a simple no and they tend to leave you be.

Just across the road from JDLU, there is ...
