... at the top (to let the 50 or so cars that had built up behind us pass) I let go of the steering wheel and my fingers immediately cramped up. I hopped around outside the RV looking like some demented "claw" character probably making the 50 passers by think I was "special" and that's why I was driving so slowly.

Not long after, we arrived at Yosemite Lakes. Oh Joy, full hookups; elastic trickery and loads of water ...

... and I continued of to the road to smile and stick out our thumbs. After about 30 minutes and maybe 30 cars, a young Switz man in his late 20s stopped and had an empty car. We were on our way. ... pasta and we shared the best calamaria I've ever tasted! Cooked perfectly, it was not chewy or tough, at all. While the service was alright (nothing memorable or outstanding) the food made up for that fact. As the sky began to darken, we jumped on the freeway and made our way to Merced, CA., to spend the night.

Today, we will make our way to Yosemite National Park for a few days, before we return to SF for a tour of Alcatraz in Tuesday. So enough is enough... Ciao for ...
