Ein lustiger kleiner Jahrmarkt mit allerlei Foodständen (u.a. von Asiaten, Schweizern und Deutschen geführt).Wir lassen uns in der Suter Gallerie von ein paar lokalen Künstlern beeindrucken und spazieren wieder Richtung Campingplatz. ... relaxing day and once we had seen Split Apple Rock, we were dropped at Anchorage to walk back to Marahau. It was an 8 mile walk along a coastal path and apart from a steep start it was quite flat and very pretty, with the option to drop down to a few beaches along the way.

As you can imagine we were all dead on our feet when we finally got home, 12 hours after we left! I’m so glad I wasn’t on dinner duty and it was very nice ...

The water was freezing, so I got as far as putting my feet in and then reversing out and walking back to the main track. Oh well. Eventually I caught sight of Anchorage below and the track wound its way down to meet the beach. You emerge pretty much straight from a muddy track between some ferns to the sand. How idyllic! I had made it for 3pm. There were quite a few people on the beach already, waiting ...

The rain, however, did not stop with us… We headed further, with the bus windows now firmly misted up and no amount of blasting from the aircon would clear them.
