... with a host family and I will be able to take marine science courses while I am away as well as a cuisine class. I never knew how much planning it would take to prepare to live in another country for half a year and I have yet to pack my suitcase (which I am not sure how I will be able to fit everything I need into a suitcase for 5 months). Now I am being hit with the excitement and the fact that this is actually happening. Costa Rica here I come!

We woke up and it was a beautiful day outside, so wanted to make the most of it. We found out about a national activity centre pretty close so made our way there. This place ...

"What the heck is in Waxhaw, North Carolina?" you may well ask. Well, just the gosh darn cutest family that I am somehow related to, that's what.

CT is my mum's dad's brother's son. His wife P and he were kind enough to let us stay at their gorgeous new home for a little bit of R&R. It was certainly the perfect surroundings for it. Who knew 6 nights could pass so quickly?

We arrived late on Friday ...

... young folks invited us to visit their family as we passed through their area.

Most often children are a reflection of their parents and so, it was no surprise that we took an instant liking to Mary and Peter’s parents, Allyne and Joseph. It was a sweet evening as we shared a meal, wine and broke bread together at the Erev Shabbat dinner table. The following day was another special time of meeting additional family and friends for the wonderful ...
