... with a host family and I will be able to take marine science courses while I am away as well as a cuisine class. I never knew how much planning it would take to prepare to live in another country for half a year and I have yet to pack my suitcase (which I am not sure how I will be able to fit everything I need into a suitcase for 5 months). Now I am being hit with the excitement and the fact that this is actually happening. Costa Rica here I come!

Airport in CLT is uneventful. Marinn has brief call on someone asking her to be the axo chapter advisor for a startup chapter at UNCC. The we board on first class seats on flit 852. A few drinks and we notice the guys sitting one row up with a sloppy dress, little goatee, silver metallic painted toe nails and a purple toboggan hat, singing and propping his ipad with some presentation on technology on the wall for all to see. ...

... it had all sorts of activities such as rock climbing mountain biking and white water rafting. We took to the calm water first, for our first experience of paddle boarding, which is basically standing on a surf board, and paddling to move. ... gardens. After that we headed back to CT and P's daughter R's place for a quick rest before heading out to watch their son A play soccer. It was a pretty fun game to watch, but unfortunately A's team lost.

After the game we headed back to Waxhaw, it was quite late by this time, but we were getting peckish, so we stopped off the interstate and got some Bojangles biscuits for dinner on the way.

... friends, a car and a 5x8 covered trailer along with whatever meager belongings would fit into them. It was a very strange feeling - like cutting loose from a tether or anchor. But, it was reassuring that we had tethering “stations” ahead: in Kentucky and North Carolina.
