We walked down Mulberry Street which was closed to through traffic as it was being transformed for the September San Gennaro Festival which is held every year and is to begin on Sept 11. ... sad we don't get to see him while we're here. Tim has been kind enough to set us up in luxury at his apartment - if he isn't careful he find a couple of permanent visitors when he gets back! ... too much excitement.

We had a lovely walk past Onassis Reservoir and spotted a turtle then to the Metropolitan Museum. It was blistering hot today and the air con was great.

We had two brushes with authority with Ruth touching a statue and James putting his baseball cap on a bear- small beer compared to the Subway incident.

... suburb of Brooklyn. I was my first time in Brooklyn and I was very impressed, it felt a lot like Melbourne with lots of funky little cafes on very corner, little bars and corner shops. I stayed in an AirBNB apartment for the first week two blocks away from Kylee and spend most of the first couple of days wandering the streets and sourcing supplies for the party, I was the honorary barman for the party.
