Colorado is bear territory. I don't know if I have made that clear yet. Black bears, specifically. I know there aren't many bear attacks per year, but I'm still convinced that we narrowly escaped death.

First off, I stubbed my toe last night. I'm pretty sure that they got a taste for my blood as a result. I tried to clean it up, but I'm sure that some of my blood landed on the dirt before I had a ...

We had more time to explore in the capitol today, so maybe that's why we saw so much more. The lower two floors are basically a museum of the state's history. Our walk started at the downtown Ramada Inn. We were so impressed by the Ramada that we decided to book a room here. We're on the 11th floor with a view ...

... the parking lot to get a closer look. Outside of the rooms were old time metal lawn chairs for "watching the cars whiz by". The garages had murals painted on the inside. Most were of traditional Route 66 images but the last garage was all done in Disney Cars motif with Mator and Lightening McQueen! It was adorable. I would love to come back and stay in this fun motel and relive the days of old.
