... Mangroves out into the lake. Little crabs darted away as we came. Another trail, the Mud Flat Trail, took us along the mud flats. We climbed the 5 story tower to get a really nice view of the area. There are 2 other longer trails that allow one to learn more about the mangrove ecosystem and give nice views of the Intercoastal Waterway. Key West - again...

... a scooter everywhere. haha... but I still found a parking space in the center. :-) although I guess it can get pretty difficult in the high season. ;-) Key West is very touristy and has everything what a tourist needs... a place to spend the night, restaurants, tour operators and souvenir shops :-) I still didn't buy anything... ;-) Afterwards I drove back north and did several photo stops along the way... and had my feet in the sea for the last time this year ...
