... slow motion and nothing you can do to help. There are these poles in the middle of the trail to prevent cars from driving on the trails and someone ran smack into it and flipped over the bike. She ended up being fine other than a cut chin and a big fright. Glad I brought the spray I was given to for my knee so I can be of a bit of help. She was a trooper and got back on and we continued the ride. Had nice conversation with fellow bikers as we traveled through this nice town. ...

... with us for awhile and go to lace school, and Forrest is going to bakery school. We saw a kindergarten school where Amy can work and there are libraries aplenty for Kevin. I am serious, Folks!! Barry start packing!!

Everywhere is photographic inspiration. You cannot turn a corner without wanting to go down that street. And oh! the sounds! Church bells, the clip clop of many horse-drawn carriages, languages I have never heard ...

... the town of Bergen Op Zoom (although we aren't actually going there I just love that name so had to include it here). We are traveling through sun drenched fields and tiny villages again--everything is so beautiful! Next we went through another tunnel called the Vlake tunnel which goes under a canal. We finally arrived home about 9:27 p.m. Of course the sun is still shining as we are so far north the sun does not set until about 11 p.m. All we can say is we had another marvelous day!

... the central Groote Maarkt, with not an awful lot to see in the other nearby streets.

Sanctuary Wood Cemetery was our first stop. Looking over the rows of pristine white headstones, to the farmland beyond, it held an air of ordered peace.
Many of the headstones marked the graves of the dead "known to God" but others were all carved with the regimental badge where the identity of the soldier was known.
