... Quarter only instead of having loads of fake Americana places they were real. Unfortunately I’d forgotten my ID so I couldn’t get served anywhere. Eventually we found a pizza bar called Marios or something it was quality, you ordered as many slices of amazing (and I mean amazing) pizza as you like then take them to a booth/sit at the bar and then order a beer which were in cans. He also provides pleasant distraction from our new driver who, at 5.30 in the morning, greets one with an over the top ‘welcome aboard’ and reminds us ...

... to drown wanly between dock and departing vessel. As it happens, Officer Steve neither hollered, broke my tail-light nor pulled his hand-gun . . . instead, he did something far worse . . . he looked genuinely incredulous as he told me I was doing 63mph in a 40mph zone (akin to my mother telling me she is not cross, just disappointed). I was secretly grateful he caught me when he did and not 10 yards further along when the 40mph zone changes to a 30. In truth, Officer ...
