We are spending the week with stops at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac for an ...

... down the back of my neck. My bus friends have bought a place elsewhere on the island, so I am able to sit and read James Bond for the 35 minutes I would have previously enjoyed banter. Bond sets me up well for the day . . . gives me the edge to declare I am right and hang the rest of the blighters. He also provides pleasant distraction from our new driver who, at 5.30 in the morning, greets one with an over the top ‘welcome aboard’ and reminds us ...
