I have included a helihike excursion on the Franz Josef Glacier. This is an amazing trip and the helicopter will take you to places that cannot be reached by foot.
From Wanaka you will drive through the scenic Haast Pass to Franz Josef Glacier. This is a challenging drive but also very picturesque.
