    ... there was meant to be a dry-ish hour between 1 and 2 so our decision was made for us; we'd just have to get wet on the way home. While we were waiting for our window of opportunity I facetimed mum. It was so good to see her face and have a proper conversation about all the things going on at home. It is nicknamed windy Wellington because frankly it's bloody windy as the location of the city lies close to the mouth of Cook Strait, which is the only gap in New Zealand's mountain chain.     ... and made our way back to the hostel to make our lunch! Our lunch consisted of pumpkin soup and bread and it was delicious, well apart from putting too much pepper on mine and Colm having to finish it off!
