    There is something to be said about a good tidy before stacking the packs on the front porch.     ... Brandy and Krista, and their families. As usual, Linda fixed way too much food, but it sure was good. They also treated us to a nostalgic evening at a German restaurant where we had a delicious and authentic dinner. We had a great time, and it was great to get to see them.

    ... hike in the woods with one of the staff of the park cleaning up a trail. It was a nice way to spend a Saturday and they even feed us hotdogs. We have found the Georgia State Parks to be the best. They are really nice, well kept and the staff is always friendly. Thank you Georgia!!

    We haven't done much the last 5 days, a trip to Walmart and an Italian dinner out and some walking around ...

    As we didn't want to stay too long in Florence we take the I-20 to Columbus and then the US-378 to McCormick. We find a good spot to stay: the Savanna Lakes Resort and Marina. It's newly (re-)opened and it seems we're the only guests. We got a room close to the lake and enjoy a very quiet night. ...
