... a chance to go above and beyond and learn more. I learned how to do weighted and unweighted transfers which is important skill to know for rescuing. I went above and learned how to set up top and bottom belay sights. I now feel comfortable going out and setting up a top rope sight by myself but having a certified knowledgeable body oversee. Pastor Jack opened the table to all questions and he made it clear no question was a stupid question. He spoke of their Cherokee culture and their way of life. Bob and Dean Reed shared their beautiful gifts and talents with us. Bob is a wood carver and makes arrow heads while Dean sculpts pottery and creates masterpieces with her hands. On the north boundary is the town of Gatlinburg, a very cool town with an interesting downtown area full of shops. I highly recommend stopping to visit, much moreso than the tourist trap of Pigeon Forge a few miles north, which is full of amusement park type attractions which I imagine are meant to lure in families with children. ...
