    ... and it still falls apart. ) The fly started "spitting" water in heavy down pours. The rain fly is never tight, it sags, even using the guy lines. When it gets wet, the rain fly will touch the tent body, allowing condensation to run down the side of the body, into the UNSEALED seam by the tub....and into the tent. When you have to get out of the tent, the damn zipper on the rain fly catches the zipper cover and jams up....at least 3 out of 4 ...

    Falling apart out here......

    ... luckily no one ran them over yet - of course -, who are we kidding, even if someone did run them over, I would have eaten them! Half way up the climb, there was a sign posted "shotguns are being used to shoot off parts of the tree canopy for ecological studies." Lol.....best excuse to shoot randomly in the air. At the summit of moosilauke Mountain the winds were high, I actually put on a long sleeve t-shirt! First time since the Smokies - if memory serves me ...

    As we were looking for the covered bridge where our friend had some very good times, we came across a man walking his miniature horse. As we stopped to take a picture he invited us to his house to see the other ones he had.We went over and he let Suzanne walk Harvey! They really are cute!

    ... last long.....cops showed up and woke us all up (what is it with the 5-0 and me on this trip???) , they had another hiker in custody.....drunk....and they asked if we would take custody of him, so he wouldn't have to go to jail! I "signed" for him, and we put him in his tent, to sleep off his night.....(he was still passed out in his tent this afternoon, at 5:30 when we left town....sleeping it off!).     ... was full of sunny vistas and a setting sun. We arrived at Jackson Lodge just before sundown and booked into our room which is the nicest we've stayed in - it has it's own balcony overlooking the White Mountains.
