... and their historical society has done a wonderful job of marking sites, but I find it loud and busy for a small town. The park area we are in however is very peaceful.... all we here are ducks and blue jays. We will move on to Lock # 5 in a day or so where we are told we can dock overnight in a pretty park, and then on to Mechanicville at Lock #3. ...

... Crown Point and stopped overnight at Fort Ticonderoga. The winds were supposed to be from the south and then west, so we anchored above the Fort area to be protected. There was no wind at all in the end, we should have gone to the south anchorage.... as we passed it by the next day we saw it had a much better view. It was a very quiet sleep after the ferry stopped, and after the gazillion birds finished their convention in the trees nearby. ...

... I had the right directions and met him at a Stewart's where we got more directions. When we got there, it turned out it was the wrong boat launch so, after looking at my map, Otto found the right direction and we were off in our kayak/canoe convoy. By then Milo was very anxious to get on the water.

Pirate Day on the Hudson. An annual event held by the Adirondack Adventure crew where they supply pirate costume items complete with eye-patches and scarfs. The crew dons their pirate best and a crazy fun filled day of rafting takes place on the Hudson River. They rate the rapids we rode as Class III-V, However, based on the Class V's Alex and I have done elsewhere, I think these were a little weak.
