    We packed a lunch for a seaside picnic today and headed north of San Diego to the area of La Jolla. Roger drove again today with Bob riding shotgun doing the navigation.     ... walked all the way down to Pacific Beach. The beaches here are amazing. I loved them and they also had character. There were one off shops all along the beach boardwalk. People were riding bikes, walking dogs, roller skating. It looked liked everyone enjoyed it. On one side of the boardwalk were nice hotels and homes and the other side was the beach.     ... We decided to go via the highways rather than through the mountains as we were north of the town we still got a few good views of the mountains which was nice. I have decided though that the further south you drive, the natives get crazier with their driving! There was so mental driving moves going on, I felt like I had to have eyes in the back of my head!

    ... disappointed in not getting a badge from the Gotham attraction and I didnt meet my goal of making a new friend. I think I hindered myself by staying too close to my comfort zone; we'll try again next year. I also didnt come up on that much free stuff but should probably cut myself some slack because I did completely miss 2 days and spent 1 in Ballroom 20.
