    ... was still mobbed midweek. I think the last time in went in 2005 was in May sometime before Memorial Day. The town was lovely even if the water was too frigid to spend much time in it.

    ... long, and forms the wide timber walk between the ocean and shops. The first boardwalk was opened in 1896 originally built, to keep sand out of hotel lobbies..and the fashionable rolling chairs were introduced as a form of foot taxi for those unable to walk or too tired to walk!!!
    $1 a block charge. This custom still continues today.

    10'x15'... the past 5 years, 2 bedrooms and 4 floors of our home is now crammed into a one cinder-block cell, the mail has been stopped (doubt I'll miss it) and tenants who will be kindly paying our mortgage for the next 12months are now moved in and we're officially "homeless".
    Bethany Beach is where we'll be calling home for the next few weeks, until we jump out on the road at the end of July.

    I could think of worse places to lay-low for awhile.
