... driving about four times as far as we needed to we finally found the restaurant!! And the kitchen was closed.

So we went back down the road, or was it up the road, and found another tavern. They didn't have much in the way of seafood so Armando had prime rib and I had soup and a "stuffie" - not sure exactly what it was - it was okay. Maybe tomorrow we can finally find some clams.

I continued along the Connecticut coast on minor roads as close to the beaches as possible on the busy Memorial Day start to the summer. The season was just beginning in the nice beach and harbor towns along the way. I made a short stop in Mystic but didn't go to Mystic Seaport Museum this time since it was already late in the day.
