I was able to buy a few things that were handmade by the Amish people. We also went and had some lunch at an Amish restaurant and it was sooooo yummy! Everything they make is grown and made from scratch so everything is lovely and fresh and very healthy! They even make their own pasta!

Hit the Road
... While a longer route, it was quicker & there weren't a million tolls! I can say this is the way to go, when driving past Chicago.
We made our 1st major stop in Portage, Michigan to visit with an old friend, Erin (Kurtz) Michael. It was great catching up. Thank you Erin for your hospitality!
We spent the night in Kalamazoo and were off again in the morning headed for the border.

I made it to Michigan!
I have made it to Michigan! My friend and I spent the day yesterday looking around Chicago. We went down to the edge of Lake Michigan to a place called the Navy Pier, and had a ride on a giant ferris wheel! Then we had lunch at 'Bubba Gumps' which is a shrimp restaurant based on the movie Forrest Gump! It was very tasty!
