      ... just off Corpus Christie for three days. Beautiful beaches and many off-shore oil rigs in the bay. A good place to rest and prepare for the drive inland.

      Total km driven 26,937km








      Driving north on Hwy 19 up to Tallahassee the weather is cooler, trees are bigger, grass is greener & we have rolling landscape for the first time this month. The Elevation here is a whopping 203ft! it is more rural, there are a few cattle & I wonder if it is old plantation lands. We drive through poor communities with lots of old abandoned buildings.

      ... Beach has been able to retain the charm of a small town florida coast. The state park is not very large and the camp ground is about half mile from the beach and half mile from the road, so it is very quiet. The spaces are spread apart so you have privacy amidst the slash pines and brush. Clean bathroom facility and easy walk to the beach or drive either one.
