... travel has been spot on this whole trip until today – there was actually a delay. Nonetheless I arrived to Antwerp in about an hour or so. The train station was pretty spectacular! Pictures won’t do it justice.

... for some kind of concert, maybe the next day. At 6 PM, the museum closed and we were admitted for our own time there with dinner to follow. The museum was very well done and much of it (including a couple of films) were in English. The dinner afterwards was wonderful and we sat with a couple who live in Manhattan as well as a couple from Georgia. Got back to the ship at around 10:30.

... last time. I passed all the buildings, and the people, that I won’t see again on this sojourn, and I made no bones about it – hot tears started falling down my cheeks and there was nothing I could do about it but wipe them away quickly with my scarf. This was a fairly regular occurrence throughout the evening, at random moments as I thought about the past six months.

... in the kitchen and went to a Celtic bar with an awesome guitar-playing singer inside. After a drink we decided we were all shattered, so I grabbed my second waffle of the day and we headed back to the hostel.

Due to the drilling downstairs and the excitement of the arrival of the mysterious Lysa (the woman/man staying in our dorm) we played a few word-games and went to sleep.

Hey There Readers,

Next stop on the journey was Antwerp, Belgium. For those of you unfamiliar with this city, it's the diamond capital of the world. Of course those beautiful lumps of coal subjected to lots of heat and pressure over time are extracted in Africa, but they're traded and processed here. In fact, Antwerp has four diamond trade markets - whereas New York only has two.
