What a pleasant surprise! The park is near the highway but there are trees every and the sites quite accessible. We had an uneventful drive. It rained intermittently with stretches of sun shine.
People in the park obviously take xmas seriously! Take a look at the pictures. What a joy!
Heading to Pensacola next.
On November 5th, we relocated to Williston Crossing RV Resort in Williston, FL – the birthplace of "Foolish Pleasure", winner of the 1975 Kentucky Derby. Williston, is well off the interstate about 35 miles from Ocala, and about the same from Gainesville.

On Saturday John, Sandra, Jeff and I parted company, for them to return home and for us to head back north to our girls in Ocala. We are back at the campground where we stayed when we first came to Florida 3 weeks ago. This time they've put us on a larger site so that we didn't have to unhook the tow dolly. We'll be here 4 nights and will be saved having to rehook that when we load the car up on Wednesday. Every little bit helps!
... pool and then relaxed before dinner. As is becoming obvious, we have a routine in the evenings, so after we had showered we settled in to watch a Desperate Housewives or two and then off to bed.
After a much cooler night, we had a lie in until 8.30am and then relaxed, skyping Cat's parents and getting ready to leave. We headed off around 12pm towards Nashville, Tennessee.
W just made our first attempt at brewing coffee on the road. Although kettle was quite effective at boiling water, the filter in it seems better for tea than coffee. We are now drinking flavored water but at least I know I can bring looseleaf tea. Next time we will use the french press ...
