... to the reviews is a very quaint combination lodging accommodation and American restaurant, with a gift shop, mill shop and various other outlets on site. The hotel is classed as a "Boutique Hotel" but looks very Laura Ashley type in style and typically American homestead. Thankfully, I brought the Aussie credit cards with us as an emergency backup, and we were able to pay for our meal and sit down and relax for a bit. Another thing we notice in Santa Barbara, is that there are a lot of homeless people around - one notices us and quips "just another day in paradise". I keep the kids close to us.
