    ... during Summer they put a gift shop in the
    middle of the basketball court and you can watch a DVD about the Corn
    Palace through the years. It was a gathering place for thousands
    especially in the early to mid 1900's and many famous people have
    preformed inside the building.

    ... While we were in there Pa told a Melvis Petermeyer, it was so cozy and fun. The actual rain only lasted 15 mins but the lightning lasted for about 3 1/2 hours. Our neighbors even offered to let us stay in their "house" but we were dry. (They were very nice). The fire lasted through all of this, so we were able to go sit by it again.     After a great week, it was time to pack up and leave. We put everything in the car and packed up the tent, knowing we would be staying in the covered wagon again tonight at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Homestead. (Best. Idea. Ever).The drive was uneventful - it rained a lot, but not as heavily on the drive over. We reached the homestead, and unpacked our stuff again into the wagon.
