But I had been experiencing this feeling of not wanting to walk directly back into my old life, but not knowing how to explain what my new life really looks like, if that makes any sense. Either way, ...

Day 1 - anticipating a very long travel day. NY===> ATL===> SCL (Santiago, Chile). Delta, however, had different ideas on how the day would play out. Indeed, even before I left New York, Delta had called to let me know that the plane out of Atlanta would be delayed about 10 hours. Nothing I could do (and after all - this would probably be good "patience practice" for South America), I was definitely spending the night in Atlanta. ...
