Boston to Vancouver

... many people got on the 1pm flight to Chicago. Nobody on the standby list got on. So, we ended up spending a total of 7 hours at Logan airport :-( Our flight was at 4:05. We got to Chicago shortly after 6. It turned out our flight to Vancouver was right next door to the arriving gate. Oh well ....

Both flights were smooth. We were upgraded to business class for the Chicago to Vancouver leg ...

... and for dessert the NZ specialty Pavlova…yum, yum. Amazingly we were all prepped by 1:30 in the afternoon so I was able to have a nap (always need a nap, especially when on vacation). No way who am I kidding nap time is always a must do for me vacation or not.

Thursday morning was quiet, we drove into town to pick up a few forgotten items then took a drive around the country side to see all the vineyards and olive trees ...

... tour. There was just us and an Australian woman; the driver we very quickly nicknamed Mr Bean. He was great really. Our first stop on the tour was Flyover Canada. This is one of Vancouver's newest attractions and is really amazing. You're strapped into a seat, there's probably 20 or so people doing it at one time in a single row. Then it really feels like you're flying ... it takes you from the east to the west coast of ...

... door and had to run into the toilet because the racoon was coming back. That was a big mistake because now the racoon is stuck inside the house with nowhere to go. There was a window right beside the toilet door so trevor opened it and managed to coax the racoon to go out of it and then shut the window. Silly move by the racoon as he is now stuck on next doors roof or so ...
