... we will take the midnight flight to Lima. While waiting, mom and I went "out" for dinner at a Cuban restaurant. We ate yuca, fried chicken, fried fish, spanish rice and plantains. The food was only ok but for the taste the price should be lower.
During the plane ride I like sitting by the window and seeing the view when we are in the clouds I took two pictures.
I don't want to bore you guys so I'll add more when I get to Lima.
... to the airport and was dropped off at the main terminal. However, the car rental was in the other terminal. I took the shuttle over there and got up to the rental area where there were no lines EXCEPT for Thrifty. After a 20 min wait, I was told they had no cars. I had no phone with me since dad was waiting in the car phone lot with mine for me.
3:30pm: 30 min later I got a Toyota Corolla. Basic, but decent. Met my dad at the lot, grabbed my phone and took off so ...
... about. Let tomorrow – actually every next moment - worry about itself! The Lord is here. With us, in everything. Through good and bad. All things. It is so wonderful to bask in Him!
We are home now. We were met by our children, Erick’s parents and Kristin at the airport and more family came to our home for soup and glorious salad (can’t eat fresh veggies much in India so the salad was SO WELCOME!) and ...
... in a downtown park, then headed over to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, home of the Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture. There are over 25 sculptures, plus a large greenhouse garden.
We then headed toward the Mississippi River to see the Stone Arch Bridge and one of the dams on the river. It's located in the old mill area which they are rehab-ing into condos, etc.
