This is happening, isn't it?! I've quit my job. A really good job - one that afforded my lavish lifestyle full of tacos and leisure. I've put my career on hold. A promising career - one that started at age 5 with the announcement that I was going to be "an accountant like daddy." I'm leaving my friends. Better friends than I deserve.

At last I heard, the police have forcibly removed all protesters from Taksim Square and the surrounding areas by means of tear gas and water cannons, and traffic in that area is returning to normal.
