We talked a bit, laughed, and finally I left the car near some junction ready to march few more miles enjoying quite a pleasant weather. It took me till dusk to get to the nearest town and find satisfying place both to anticipate a car or stay for a night. Niiiice!

Even nicer was the fact I have been waiting there no more than 30mins - out of sudden came a car ...

... we were relieved to see a few more vehicles arrive shortly afterwards, and then the ferry appeared (thank God!) By the time we reached the airport the clods were lifting, and it looked like a reasonable day in Trondheim. I'm writing this from the plane (which has wi-fi), so you may well read this before we arrive at Gatwick. We've had a great time in a truly beautiful part of the world, where everyone seems incredibly friendly. Back to reality ...

... the worst, but we didn't stay in too long.... Suitably refreshed we returned to our little home, where there is even an outdoor shower, which was very useful (especially as it had a hot tap as well as the cold). We ended the day with a trip over the very interesting bridge to the next island, which is rather bleak - it protects Stokkoya from the westerly winds, and the next stop is Iceland. We're travelling with two Toyota Landcruiser HJ60s, one from 1987 and one from 1985, both with more than 300.000 kilometers on the clock. 4-liter, straight 6 diesel engines with only a little over 100 horsepower, so not exactly fast, but very reliable (hopefully).
