      ... The beautiful ceiling is the longest continuous medieval vaulted stone ceiling in the world, 96 metres long. Lovely stained glass and lots of light, unlike many Gothic cathedrals.

      Looked at the castle walls, all that remains of the original Rougemont castle built in 1068, (the buildings inside being newer, late 1800s-1905) and then its gardens and moat.

      I arrived at Heathrow just after 4:30am. No planes are allowed to land before 4:30am so we had to do a bit of a circle first. We were the first plane to land so getting through customs was a breeze. After customs, I walked out to see a huge line of taxi drivers holding signs.       ... pub where it was lit, warm, and provided good food. We had a lovely meal, together with wine, desserts and coffees it came to 90 for the 4 of us which we thought was reasonable. We stayed glued to our seats until about 10.15pm, when S & P left to go home about 5 miles away.
