Boston, Massachusetts, United States juliemburnsSo I am finally back in beantown.. took the T home from the airport, the 10 minute walk in the leftover snow and cold was a big shocker after the heat of Asia.
Some shout-outs are in order:
~Air Asia for getting me around the region cheaply and effeiciently
~Xavier from France for exploring the wonders of Bangkok with me
~Raj, Naz and family in Kuala Lumpur for their hospitality and generosity in opening ...
... before we try get an early night before tomorrow. Need to cehck out some prices of jackets I have found today....limited edition Celts jacket which I seen in the Garden today. Looks like $100 for it, but thinking of the cost just for a jersey back home maybe I should grab all 6 of them and ebay them when I return!!!
One last thing to add is the amount of Starbucks and DD's around this place is amazing. There are 2 DD"s in the garden about ...
... how it went (Your thinking did she beat him???) but it was fun before leaving. They also moved the Rocky statue to the location recently so we grabbed a few pics of that one too. The temp at this location was 28 Degrees........roughly -2 Celcius.
Andy and Krista then dropped us both off at the Bus stop and we said our goodbyes. It was great to spend a few days with these guys. As Linda said "It was like home away from home", except for the temperature, the snow and a 3 storey ...
loved the flight, and the hospitality of the BA business class experience. I even had a facial as I though it would be done by a dolly. Then some big gay guy came out to 'facial' me. I was petrified. I have to say that he did a really good job though!!
I REALLY made the most of the free champagne and wine on the flight too. Legs were a bit wobbly on my return to the good old US and A!
... d never been before, but I LOVED it!! What a cool place. Not on the list of "Places I would never want to live"; that's for sure.
To kill some time, we saw "My Sister's Keeper"--really interesting movie. I suggest you see it, but if you do, bring some tissues! Marisa and I ruined our makeup, and we hadn't even begun the 20 hour flight yet. Bummer...
Marisa's parents met us at the airport, we did the whole boarding passes and baggage ...
... sucked that my falafel was way over fried and the French fries soggy, when I had a meal with this friend. Sigh. To ruminate, and to borrow a Chinese idiomatic expression's syntax of choosing between the bear paw and the fish: Of Human Warmth and the Delight of the Palate, One cannot choose both. Forgo the pleasure of the tongue and choose that friendship...blah blah blah Before I conclude this entry, ought to mention that I went to Cambridge with 2 friends, saw ...
Boston, Massachusetts, United States chemendonca... Boston. Here is a picture of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) which is the main mode of transportation in Boston. It's actually very convenient since our hotel had a free shuttle service to and from the train station. The nearest station to our hotel is Riverside (Green Line). On our 1st official day in Boston (Oct. 11), we went on a city tour. We went to Harvard ...
Boston, Massachusetts, United States aubreeey... We manage to get some good snooze time in the park though in the afternoon which is a bonus. That evening we head out for food with the gang as it is our last night in Boston. We pick an Ethiopian restaurant and after expecting food packages to drop out of the sky - the food turns out to be belting and the Ethiopian beers are pretty good too. Another good day. Day 10 am - 20th June 2007 So, the time comes for us to hit the road and leave our new home of ...
